This lesson covers a brief history of harm reduction and how we got to where we are today. We will address the past harm reduction movements and where we are today. We will also lightly cover the difference between substance use and substance use disorder.

We will cover more sensitive topics like overdose and drug paraphernalia. The most recommended audience would be for people who work in public service (be that health, legal, education etc.), but we don’t have strict limits and would be happy to discuss further about any groups you have in mind and if we think it would be appropriate.

This lesson covers what anxiety is, what it looks/feels like, the different ways it can manifest, why it happens, and what we can do about it. The intention is to increase educational awareness of mental health problems so we can address them early and prevent unhealthy future coping mechanisms such as substance misuse.

The presentation was created for those with limited or basic knowledge of anxiety, especially those of whom work with youth who may be experiencing anxiety with little to no support. This presentation was created for any youth serving organization where the staff/youth struggle with stress, the behaviors associated with it, and how to respond. Stress

This lesson covers what substance use disorder looks (and doesn’t look) like. It then goes into ways that recovery can present in different people, and how to support someone in your own life who is in recovery as well as what we can do as a community to support those who need it. The intention is to increase educational awareness around the recovery portion of the substance misuse cycle so we can better support those struggling.

This presentation was created for anyone who knows individuals struggling within the substance misuse cycle, as well as anyone who mentors/works with those who might be needing to support a loved one and aren’t sure where to start.
